Sonoma Weekend

Last year we went with a bunch of friends to Sonoma. We rented a house and people came from California, New York, and other places. We weren't celebrating anything in particular - just cooking great meals and drinking great wine.

Invitation This one took lots of emails back and forth to organize.

Décor The decor was the gorgeous Sonoma countryside - vineyards, beautiful trees, and lots of quiet.

Food Lots. We did a big Trader Joe's run on our way out of San Francisco. Everyone was in charge of making one recipe during the weekend. I made my favorite tomato and corn salad, based on the Al Forno cookbook.

Drinks One night we made forzen margaritas with Trader Joe's margarita mix. Cocktail hour was full of Mojitos. When in Rome . . . we drank lots of Red Wine.

Other elements We had an iPod off to see who could come up with the song that the group was most excited to dance to. This is a better game for later in the evening.
