Real Foods Holiday Sleigh Ride Romp
Partygoers 1-5
Invitation In Victorian times, visitors to a private home would present a calling card to announce their arrival and request a visit. Beckon guests to this Sleigh Ride Romp in the same manner, by sending a small decorative card simply stating, “Susan Has Requested The Pleasure of Your Company for a Holiday Sleigh Ride Romp. Please R.S.V.P.”
Décor With a snowy landscape or holiday street as your backdrop, little décor is needed. Accent your affair by packing baked goods in holiday-themed tins wrapped with big bows. Give guests fleece blankets, or scarves and mittens as party favors to ensure their comfort. Bring along a basket of hand-bells to add a little jingle to your ride or accompany holiday songs.
Food Figgy pudding and fruitcake would be a scrumptious choice for affair, along with finger foods that are easily transported, such as Holiday Spiced Chocolate Layer Cake, Walnut-Date Loaf, and Amazin’ Raisin Cake (see recipes below).
Drinks Warm everyone up with a thermos of mulled cider or hot chocolate. Or simply pick up a selection of hot flavored drinks from your favorite coffee joint, and spike them with liqueur during the ride.
