40 and Fabulous Party

40 friends and 40 days leading up to the big day -

each friend does something for the special birthday girl - flowers, spa , lunch, shopping, picnics, nails , train to nyc for the day , hot air balloon ride, cooking class.... etc...

On the day of the party - everyone gets together at your favorite restaurant and everyone treats the birthday girl with the photo album from their special days - all 40 of them, made into one album......

It's a thoughtful, fun and always nice to be with friends....
We had 25-50 guests.

The invitation said: 40 is fabulous party! please come and celebrate Courtney's 40th on october 4th, 2009 at the brickside restaurant, lionville , pa. you are fabulous and so is she! please plan on wearing your most fabulous outfit and your dancing shoes!

The appetizer was stuffed mushrooms and/ or lobster bisque ( her favorite foods ) for the main course, the barefoot contessa ( her favorite chef ) would whip up a french inspired dish! because she is leaving from the party to go to paris to finish the celebration - ( a life long dream to visit!) for dessert, no chocolate - fabulous fresh fruit dishes- apple cobblers, blueberry, raspberry, and/ or lemon trifles! the sweeter, the better!

Courtney's favorite drink is lemonade -everyone knows who has ever eaten out with her, so a lemon inspired beverage - a lemontini, a lemon ice special, a lemonargarita, and / or a lemon daquari

Courtney loves parties - so dance music, a photo booth to take pictures with her best girls! a candy tower- from one of those candy stores they display all of the candy! a movie screen to show a video of courtney from childhood.

There must be games - Courtney is a big game person - Courtney trivia, guess that item from her past, guess that person, and of course, name that outfit! Party favors would be a 40 and fabulous photo album - filled with photos from the party and a purple silk scarf ( gift wrapped in a purple box )
