I've searched far and wide for great things for you to try out this summer. Included in this post are great family fun ideas and a delicious recipe! Enjoy!
Remember the days when we were all boy scouts and girl scouts, sitting around the campfire and making our own meals? While some of us may have already revisited the campfire this season, I haven't (in many years). Luckily, though, Café Mom has rekindled my love for the campfire with her Hobo Meal How-To. Take your family out (even in your own backyard) and put all your favorite veggies and meat inside some aluminum foil and have a cook-out over a campfire!
Now, is that fun or what?!
For dessert, the wonderful Joy the Baker has created a (I'm sure VERY delicious) Strawberry Coffee Cake! The mere thought of my favorite berry, Strawberry, and my favorite caffeinated drink, Coffee, could come together blew my mind. Forget Starbucks (whose baked goods' calorie count is off the charts), make your own little treat for your mornings.
Marie from Makes and Takes has a great idea for all of our readers who have kids. She's made her very own Tub O' Fun in preparation for the summer. The tub is HUGE, and it has a great compilation of goodies ranging from pipe cleaners and recycled egg cartons to yarn and glue sticks. I wish they made Tubs O' Fun for adults too.
What would my tub have? Movies, for one; and maybe a package of coffee...

Fair warning: I hear it's going to be a beautiful and sunny weekend across the nation, so wear your sunscreen!
