This past Monday some of the biggest stars on television gathered for the NBC Universal Experience. The event was the first event of television’s annual upfronts. The party was held in New York City in a tent especially constructed for the event outside of Rockefeller Center.

Frank Sinatra – The legendary singer was immortalized on US Postage Stamps this week. The crooner was selected to appear on the 42 cent stamp from a field of 50,000 suggestions.The announcement was made in Las Vegas and New Jersey to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the entertainer’s death.
If Sinatra were asked how he won – he would have remarked “I did it my way.”

This past Thursday some of the biggest stars and most influential people gathered for Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World Party.
The event celebrated Time Magazine’s announcement of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. The party was held in New York City at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Allen Room.

The guest list included newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Chris Rock, John McCain, Lance Armstrong, Martha Stewart, Judd Apatow, Robert Downey Jr., Marc Ecko, Herbie Hancock and Tyler Perry. See which of these stars went Platinum this week.THE SCENE
This black tie event was held at the Jazz in Lincoln Center in the Allen Room, which is use to holding these types of upscale events.
The star-studded crowd was filled with CEOs, politicians and just about every other important person you could think of.
After the initial cocktail hour, all the guests were seated and watched performances and speeches from many of the attendees.

Iron Man – This film proved to be golden at the box office raking in over $200 Million dollars worldwide.
The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges, not to mention it is directed by everyone’s favorite swinger Jon Favreau. A sequel to the film has already been announced, meaning Iron Man will not be rusting any time soon…..
Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson – The two actors finally got engaged this past week.Ryan who has starred in such films as “Just Friends,” “Van Wilder,” and “Definitely, Maybe” and Scarlett who has starred in “Match Point,” “Lost in Translation” and “The Nanny Dairies” met last February.
They confirmed the wedding date has been set, but won’t give out specifics – guess we will have to try to sneak into this one….

Bryan Adams hosted the opening of his photo exhibition, “Ambassadors Hear the World” at a private event space in New York City’s Meat Packing District this past Thursday.

THE MUSIC
DJ: ?uestlove was spinning a great mix of tunes all night.
Band: ?uestlove took a short break for The Virgins to perform a 15 minute set that had the place jumpin’.
Vibe: It wasn’t much of a dancing crowd, but everyone seemed to enjoy the music, which perfectly accompanied the exhibits Rock atmosphere.

Tina Fey – Her new movie “Baby Mama” was tops at the box office this past weekend. Not only did Fey star in the comedy, she also wrote it.
You can also see her every Thursday night on 30 Rock. We think both are her labors of love…
David Blaine – The magician broke the World Record for holding one’s breath. On the stage of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Blaine held his breath in a water tank for 17 minutes and 4 seconds, while Oprah nervously watched on.When asked when his next stunt would be, it is rumored Blaine responded, “don’t hold your breath.”

Laura Bush – The first lady, was a co-host on NBC’s Today show this week.
