Pretty Pastel Party Ideas for Spring

Ever notice how a lovely color scheme can easily set the whole mood of a party? Festive red and gold work for the holiday season, blues and silvers are great for winter - but when spring comes round the bend, it’s nice to really lighten things up a bit!

Today we’re all about pretty pastel upgrades for spring parties. Read on for our simple tips - some are even tasty, too! We love to match up a delicious pastel cocktail with something sweet - and we have to thank Fannie May for their yummy mint meltaways for the spring season in inspiring and beautiful colors.

Spiked Floral Pink Lemonade

You won’t believe just how easy this is to make - we just used one shot in each glass of our favorite unflavored vodka, and filled each cup to the brim with delicious pink lemonade. The best part is the garnish - we use edible flowers for that pretty pastel touch. Some beautiful options: carnations, rose petals, violets, and nasturtiums. Please make sure you double check your flower is edible before popping into your drink! We love to use fresh lemon whenever possible, so add a little wheel of lemon as well!

Ingredients
  • 1 and 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 cup pink lemonade
  • Fresh lemon wedges or wheels
  • Fresh edible flowers (we used carnations)
Directions

Simply pour ingredients into glasses over ice and garnish with flowers and lemon.

Makes: 1 cocktail per recipe above.

Pretty Pastel Cupcakes

When you’re throwing a party together at the last minute, it can be hard to think of creative and cute desserts. We are obsessed with this new idea introduced to us by Fannie May. We simply bought a box of their Spring Mint Meltaways and topped cupcakes with these delightful treats! Shhh, no one even needs to know that the cupcakes are store bought too!

Pastel Silverware

You can’t help but smile when sitting down to a pastel place setting with the silverware and all. To create this adorable look, you just need your normal silverware and some pastel-hued string. We found light pink and light green at our local craft store. You may want to secure the start of your silverware with a tiny piece of tape, and then continue to wrap tightly around each piece, ensuring that the tape is covered as well.
