Mess-Free Easter Crafts for Kids

There are so many wonderful things to do with the kids in the springtime – Easter crafts included! But if your eye starts to twitch at the thought of cleaning up the Easter egg dye that seems to be permanently soaked into your kitchen counter well, fear not!

We have two incredibly cute Easter crafts to do with the kiddies that are virtually clean-up free. Check out our step-by-step instructions for our adorable colorful egg craft, and oh-so-cute little Easter lambs!

To Make the Striped Easter Eggs:

  • 2 pieces of white or off-white cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Pretty patterns, colors, and photos from magazines, cut into 1/4 inch strips that are no more than 8” in length
  • Glue

Step 1: Fold one of the pieces of card stock in half lengthwise and cut an oval into the middle, in order to make your egg shape. Discard the oval, just keep the egg’s outline.

Step 2: Next, glue strips horizontally to the sheet of bottom paper, this is giving you the backdrop for your egg.

Step 3: Once finished and paper is covered in strips of color, affix the egg outline overtop the bottom piece of cardstock. And there you have your very own multi-colored Easter egg with very little clean-up!

To Make Your Fluffy Lambs:

  • Pen
  • Black, red, and blue construction paper
  • Cotton Balls
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Card Stock

Step 1: Glue the black piece of construction paper to the piece of card stock so your craft will be sturdy. Outline your (or your little one’s!) hand on a piece of black construction paper with a pen.

Step 2: Cut out the handprint with scissors. Take the cotton balls and pull them apart slightly before gluing to the body of the lamb. You can make your lamb as fluffy as you want by adding more cotton balls!

Step 3: Cut out a sliver of red construction paper and glue on the ‘thumb’ of your lamb as the mouth.

Step 4: Cut out a small blue circle and glue on the ‘thumb’ as your lamb’s eye. Let the glue dry. Hang up your lil’ Easter lamb for everyone to see!
