Easy Birthday Party Treat: Yogurt-Covered Pretzels

Yogurt-covered pretzels are incredibly easy to make, and always a crowd-pleaser. All you need are two ingredients: yogurt melts, and hard pretzels. The result is a deliciously salty and sweet treat that's perfect for snacking for for dessert.

Yogurt melts can be found at most grocery stores, but if you're having trouble finding them you can use white chocolate or candy bark instead.

To make these yogurt-covered pretzels, you simply melt the yogurt melts in the microwave and then dip the hard pretzels into the melted yogurt. I like to keep them simple and white, but feel free to add some fun by adding colorful sprinkles, or dying the yogurt melts once they have melted with some food coloring.

  • 2 cups yogurt melts
  • 4 cups hard pretzels (I went with the smaller kinds)

Begin by melting the yogurt. Place the yogurt melts in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30-second intervals until the yogurt is smooth and completely melted (it should look and feel like white chocolate).

Lie out a large piece of parchment paper on the counter, and place the bowl of melted yogurt next to it. Using a small fork, dip one pretzel into the yogurt and be sure to fully submerge the pretzel so it’s completely coated. With the same fork, carefully remove the pretzel from the yogurt and tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove the excess.

Carefully place the coated pretzel on the parchment paper. At this moment, you can sprinkle colored sprinkles on your pretzels if you wound like. Repeat the process with the remaining pretzels.

These can be made in advance and can last up to 7 days in sealed container.
