Individual Raspberry Tiramisu Recipe

When throwing an Italian dinner party, it’s important that you end dinner on a high note, and the best way to do this is to finish with a delicious, sweet dessert most importantly, an Italian dessert! And one of the most traditional Italian desserts is Tiramisu.

Tiramisu is traditionally made with ladyfingers (soft, sponge-like cookies), mascarpone cream, and espresso. But to make this Tiramisu extra special, I made a few changes. First I made the tiramisu in individual-sized cups. This makes serving so much easier. Second, I added fresh raspberries to add a tangy, sweet touch.

Finally, instead of using espresso, I used fresh brewed coffee. To non-coffee drinkers espresso can be overwhelming, but the coffee gives the Tiramisu a lighter, less harsh taste that everyone will enjoy.

  • 6 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup coffee, divided
  • 18 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

In a small bowl, stir together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of coffee.

Place the remaining coffee in a shallow dish and soak the ladyfingers for 5 seconds. Be careful not to soak the ladyfingers for too long, as you do not want them to fall apart.

Place 1 ladyfinger at the bottom of each dish/glass. Top with a dollop of the mascarpone mixture and then a few raspberries. Repeat 2 more times. Serve immediately, or place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Note: These can be made up to 24 hours ahead of time and then placed in the refrigerator. Take them out right before serving.

Serves: 6
