Edible Pop of Gold Party Favors

Party favors not only add a personal touch to your party, but they are also a great way to keep the party spirit going long after your guest leave your home. Add impact with shimmer and sweetness to your edible flavors with a touch of edible gold sugar.

This recipe for Golden popcorn could not be simpler; you can go from ingredients to party bag in under and hour, saving you more time in the kitchen when time is not on your side.

I packaged my popcorn inside a DIY linen bag, designed with a simple gold shamrock, but you they are so pretty to look at, that using a clear plastic gift bag would offer an equally festive look.



Remove the caramel popcorn from the box and place in a large mixing bowl.

Melt the chocolate on a double boil (taking care not to let the chocolate burn). Once the chocolate begins to melt, remove it from the heat and stir it until it is fully blended and melted through.

While it is still hot, drizzle it across the popcorn and gently fold the blend together so that the popcorn is fully coated in white chocolate.

Once cool to the touch, but still warm, sprinkle on the gold sugar glitter so that it covers the popcorn.

Move the popcorn from the bowl to a sheet of parchment or wax paper and allow it to cool before placing it inside your party bags.

Note: If you are not comfortable with double boiling, follow the microwave directions on the packet to melt the chocolate.
