Spill the Tea Bridal Shower Game

Whenever you can, it's a good idea to tie in bridal shower games with the overall theme of the bridal shower you're hosting. For our tea party themed bridal shower, I thought a game of "Spill the Tea" would be a fun way to do just that.

The term "spill the tea" is my modern tea-themed slang for "sharing the gossip" or "telling the truth" and the idea behind the game is to have guests guess about the facts behind the relationship of the bride-to-be and her groom-to-be. So, the game asks questions like, where did the couple meet, and guests have to guess the answer.

We've seen this bridal shower game played a number of ways. The first is like we did here - with an activity card that's printed ahead of time and handed out to guests. The activity card is easy to put together by gathering ten facts about the guest of honor and letting the guests fill in the blanks. Whoever gets the most correct answers can win a small prize.

We preferred to keep this bridal shower game more friendly and less raunchy, so as not to embarrass our bride-to-be. So, we use g-rated facts about the bride and groom for our card. Here are a couple of sample questions you can include in your "Spill the Tea" bridal shower game, but use them only as a guide! Try to get creative and personal with the game for a better experience!

Sample Questions:

Where did the bride and groom first meet?

What day did they meet?

Where did the bride and groom go on their first date?

What is one of the groom's pet names for the bride? What is one of the bride's pet names for the groom?

Who is a bigger ___ fan? The Bride? Or the groom?

What is the bride and groom's favorite TV show?

You get the idea!
