Pretty Ideas for a Bridal Shower Tea Party

One of the most popular bridal shower themes is the tea party theme. It’s perfect for the girly-girl bride who just wants to get prettied up for her big day.

Guests can come dressed up in their floral and pastel dresses and nibble on delicious dainty sandwiches and nibble on sweet treats. We rounded up a few inspirational ideas perfect for a bridal shower tea party.

Pretty Pastel Cookies

No bridal shower tea party is complete without a variety of beautiful cookies to enjoy with a jasmine or vanilla tea. We love these pastel cookies from Shortbread Bakery as they pair wonderfully with a fruit flavored tea. Be sure to decorate the cookies in a variety of pastel colors or stick to your bridal shower color theme if you have one.

Tea Party Decoration Inspiration

Don't forget to set the scene! 3D Memoirs featured this inspiration board filled with tons of ideas as it related to decorating for your bridal shower. Including tea theme ideas goes without saying, but we love the pearl necklace accent, vintage tea cups and adundant sweet treats galore. Incorporating edible items into the décor fit in well with old tea cups so be sure to make use of grandma’s old tea set.

Delicate Finger Foods

Give guests something light to nosh on. Finger sandwiches always scream "Tea Party," so make your favorite cucumber or chicken salad sandwich, and cut into bite-sized pieces. This appetizer display from Inevitable Feast served up some yummy-looking Curried Chicken Salad Sandwiches on an aaodrable platter. (She also served a variety of cakes and scones... you can't forget the sweets!)

Set Up a Bridal Shower Tea Bar

No tea party can be complete without the actual tea! This tea party from 100 Layer Cake featured a setup of a variety of glass jars filled with different flavor teas. This gives guests a choice of different flavors to enjoy while enjoying the bridal shower. Have fun with the names of the teas and the labels. This party typed them up on cardstock and hung them around the necks of the jars with string, but you can play around with chalkboard labels, calligraphy and even yarn colors.

DIY Tea Bag Party Favors

Make sure your guests don't go empty-handed! Have them create their own customized tea bags to take with then, like Inevitable Feast did with their DIY Tea Bag bar.  She used Natural Tea Bags to place all of the tea leaves in. Guests can mix and match flavors and varieties of tea to create their own unique flavors, and will always remember how lovely the shower was whenever they brew up a new batch!
