Easy Pom Bottle Snowman Craft

Recycle some old bottles and turn them into something fun and new! Place these little snowmen all around the house, or use them as cute little ornaments!

Up-cycled crafts are always fun! My kids love the POM wonderful juice and one day it struck me (after seeing snowmen ornaments in the store) that we could create our own little snowman from this empty bottle. Display your POM bottle snowman as is or attach some ribbon to the top and make an ornament out of him.

Supplies
  • Empty POM bottle
  • Faux snow
  • Black paper
  • Hot Glue
  • Puffy paint
  • Scissors
  • Fabric scrap
  • Metal scrub brush
Directions

Step 1:Clean your empty POM bottle and use a metal kitchen scrub brush to remove the lettering on your POM bottle. It helps to run it under hot water during this process.

Step 2:Once your bottle is thoroughly dry, you can begin creating your snowman. Cut out a circle from the black paper to create the brim. Make a circle in the middle (like an O) so that you can slip the ring onto the top of the bottle.

Step 3:Cut another strip of black paper, wide enough to be the height of the bottle and long enough to go around it.

Step 4:Fill your POM bottle with faux snow. A funnel might help with this part. You can make your own funnel with some rolled up paper. Once filled, screw your top back on the bottle and begin making the hat.3

Step 5:Place the black ring on the bottle. Roll the strip of paper to create the top hat look and glue together. Glue this to the rim of the hat.

Step 6:Cut a strip of fabric about 1.5 inches wide and about 6 inches long. Fold over into thirds and glue down on the back. Snip the ends of the fabric to look like a scarf and tie it around your POM bottle.

Step 7:Use puffy paint to draw a face and buttons. Let dry. Paint the top cap of your bottle black if you want. Display as is or glue a ribbon to the top and use as an ornament.
