Playful Paper Holiday Mini Banner

When it comes to holiday parties, it's likely your seasonal decorations will play a big part of dressing up your party space. Adding a special decorative element is a nice way to enhance a particular party theme around the holidays, and it's not hard or expensive to do.

A miniature banner was easy to create with decorative paper and a few of Pear Tree Greeting's coordinating tags. Strung above the buffet in the dining room, it offered a playfulness that would become the theme of the white elephant holiday party we hosted.

Step 1: Cut twine to desired length.

Step 2: For flags, cut decorative paper in 1-inch wide strips. We cut the lengths in 3, 3 1/2 , and 4 inch pieces. Fold the lengths of paper in half and then snip a small triangle out of the end. Unfold, apply adhesive to the inside of the flag and slip over the twine. Press the flag together to adhere it to the twine.

Step 3: Paper punches may be used to create other shapes to hang on the twine.

Step 4: Fill the desired length of the banner with flags, shapes and tags, and it's ready to hang.
