Personalized Pail Easter Basket Idea

Little boys will appreciate this bright Easter basket idea! When crafting Easter baskets for my grandchildren, I knew as soon as I saw this bright lime green pail that it would be perfect for my grandson.

I took a some steps to give this lime green bucket extra personalization with my grandson's name as well as a few bright white polka dots. It is sure to be the perfect place to collect eggs for my little grandson.

And after Easter, imagine all of the things he can collect in this bucket! I chose colors that complimented his bedroom so that it will look great sitting on his dresser. I'm not sure where old traditional Easter baskets end up, but with a more practical approach you can create something that can serve another purpose at the end of the day for kids - not to mention, the joy of creating a special, one-of-a-kind gift for a special, one-of-a-kind little boy!

Step 1: Cover the wooden handle with tape and spray-paint the bucket; inside and out. Let dry.

Step 2: When the bucket is completely dry, adhere the child's name with stickers. You may want to follow my additional step here for a stronger hold - I applied a little dot of glue to the back of the letters to be certain they were firmly affixed.

Step 3: With a circular punch, punch the polka-dots from white sticker paper. I used white labels because I had them on hand, but adhesive vinyl would work well, too. Again, I added a dab of strong glue to the back of each dot so they couldn't be peeled off the bucket.

Step 4: Add your Easter grass and tie a ribbon to the handle that complements the letters in the name.
