Homemade Peeps "Play-Doh" Recipe

What is a kids party without a craft or activity? Peeps are a classic Easter treat, and are perfect as both a tasty treat and also part of your Easter decor. But did you know you could also use Peeps to make homemade playdough?

It's actually super easy to make, and can be whipped up using ingredients you probably already have in your cabinet. If your kids are old enough, get them involved in the mixing and making, letting them create their own varieties and color combinations.

For an extra vibrant playdough, use a couple drops of food coloring. This playdough can be used just like the jarred stuff; let your little ones' imaginations go wild!

  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 5 Peeps
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Food coloring (optional)

In a medium bowl add in your powdered sugar, Peeps and coconut oil.

Heat in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until the peeps puff up. You can add in a few drops of coordinating food coloring to create a more vibrant color.

Mix together with a spoon and once it’s formed a ball you can roll it in your hands to create a playdough texture.

You can make all the peeps colors. The playdough is best right after you make it but you can store it in an airtight container for about 24 hours.
