11 Rustic & Romantic Updos for a Fall Wedding

While the bride's hairstyle is of course the most important hairdo of a wedding, it's still fun for everyone else at the nuptials to rock a killer updo, too. These fall-inspired styles are perfect for bridedsmaids, the family of the bride and even some fancy guests in attendance. And for all the brides planning a fall wedding, we've got some beautiful autumn crowns for your show-stopping hairstyle.

1. Fishtail Braid

Long hair gals, this bun from A Bird’s Leap is for you! While you might need some help from a friend to get this style done, it’s totally wedding worthy.

2. Crown of Leaves

via weddingomania.com

Adding accessories to your hair doesn’t have to be left for the bride during fall wedding season. This crown made of leaves from Weddingomania would also be perfect for attending or being in a fall wedding. Plus, it's totally free to do during the fall (just head into your backyard for some foliage!)

3. Side Braid

Of course, braids are HUGE this year! Even if you can’t French braid, this tutorial from Be Confectionate is simple to follow and will leave your hair stunning for the big day!

4. Wheat and Flower Accessories

Another idea with some added foliage. Wheat and baby’s breath are soft and romantic, and will get you in the mood for your fall wedding plans. Doesn’t this look from How to Hair Girl look just stunning?

5. Frozen's Elsa Bun

via makeupwearables.com

We’re still not over Frozen, and this updo from Makeup Wearable’s will keep Elsa with us long after we’ve tried out the movie. It’s a lower bun that will keep your neck bare, but still covered just in case the night gets cold.

6. Double Braid

via hairromance.com

Another braided updo, this one from Hair Romance, looks impressive (i,e. complicated), but it's nothing you can’t do on yourself. If you can do a regular three-strand braid on your own hair, you’re all set to do this for the next wedding you attend.

7. Leaf Accessories

Making an entire crown out of leaves might be a bit-time consuming. So why not just grab some leaves, and add a few into your updo. We just love the way these dark leaves complement her blonde locks!

8. Dutch Braid

While this style works best with curly hair, the inside out French braid (aka Dutch Braid) will be perfect for keeping your locks back, with a unique twist that will keep everyone staring.

9. Purple and White Flower Accessories

via projectwedding.com

Warm, rich colors are totally popular in the fall months. To show off the big colors of the season, and add some deep purple (or auburn or maroon or any color you like!) flowers to add color to your look.

10. Side Waterfall

via weddingchicks.com

This style from Wedding Chicks is great for all hair types, so we’re thinking it would work perfectly for a bridal party! It's light and sexy, with a formal touch to it. It's a more laid-back and friendlier look than many traditional updos. Plus, if you have ombre highlights in your hair like this model, this style looks amazing!

11. Tucked-Under Braid

via abeautifulmess.com

Shoulder-length girls, rejoice; A Beautiful Mess has the perfect updo for your length. It's really tight, so it will keep your hair out of your face and neck all day. Plus, it looks super stunning!
