Easy Homemade Valentine's Day Card Idea: King & Queen Of My Heart

Remember making homemade Valentines as a kid? It was always fun to get creative with construction paper, glue and some glitter, and creating something extra special for our friends or crush! Recreate that magic and make a special gift your Valentine will cherish with these DIY Valentine's Day Cards.

The best part about this homemade card is that it takes virtually no time to make, and you probably already have the supplies in your house. Using just a deck of cards, some plain white paper, tape (double-sided works best) and a couple permanent markers, you have a creative Valentine's Day gift in no time. This is perfect if you're in a last-minute pitch (we've all been there!), and want to make a creative gift quickly.

Plus, if you use double-sided tape, you can just peel the cards off when you've finished and put them back in your deck. Make sure to write a special, meaningful message on the inside for your valentine to enjoy.

Supplies
  • 1 deck of cards, or King of Hearts and Queen of Hearts card
  • 2 pieces of paper or card stock
  • Permanent markers
  • Double-sided tape
  • Scissors
Directions

Step 1: Take your piece of paper, and fold in 4ths. This should resemble the shape of a traditional greeting card.

Step 2:  With the crease on the left side of the paper, tape your King of Hearts or Queen of Hearts card to the front of the folded paper. Once secured, draw around the card with markers.

Step 3: Write your message on the inside, and deliver to your sweetheart!
