DIY Glitter Easter Eggs

An excuse to break out the glitter in April? Count me in! This year, I thought I'd try my hand an creating some Easter eggs with a little extra sparkle.

Sure, dying your Easter eggs may be the traditional way to go, but it may be time to think outside the box and create a fun, no-dye version. These glitter eggs will add just a little extra 'wow' factor to your egg hunt.

  • One Dozen Eggs
  • Powdered Glitter in assorted colors
  • Mod Podge
  • Sponge Brushs
  • Small Bowls & Spoons (for mixing glitter)
  • Wax Paper

Step 1: In a well ventilated room, set out empty bowls (one for each color glitter you'd like to use) and pour an equal amount of Mod Podge into each bowl.

Step 2: Add Glitter.

Step 3: Mix! Mix! Mix! Until all of the glitter is evenly combined with the Mod Podge.

Step 4: Using the sponge brushes, apply a think layer of the Mod Podge and glitter mixture to each egg. Continue until the entire egg is covered in the glitter mixture.

If you want to get extra fancy, use small pieces of washi tape to section off areas of the egg to create fun layers or patterns!

Step 5: Set on wax paper to dry for approximately one hour. So that the eggs don't roll away, I recommend lining the egg carton with the wax paper to create a secure yet stick-resistant drying space.

Step 6: Arrange in a gorgeous Easter display and enjoy!
