Create your Own Haunted House

What better way to turn up the creative dial this season than hosting a Halloween party in your very own haunted house?!

Transforming your home from ordinary to extraordinarily scary will require some effort, but the look on trick-or-treaters’ faces when they walk inside will make it all worthwhile! Add some spooky silhouettes in the windows and cobwebs throughout the entrance to give guests fear before they even step foot inside. Take a look at some of our favorite inspirations for turning your home into the most haunting of houses to entertain and scare your friends.

Floating Jack-O-Lanterns

These light weight jack-o-lanterns practically hang themselves! By using invisible tape and invisible wire your guests will not be able to notice how these pumpkins are actually floating! Place a glow stick in their mouths to get an even spookier effect when the lights go out.

Spooky Window Silhouettes

These spooky window silhouettes are actually simple sticker decals and so easy to put up. From a distance they have such a powerful impact! Get creative and use really gory decals or keep it simple with witches and crows.

Potion Bottles

These potion bottles are great to offer as guests walk in and out of your haunted house. Obviously you aren’t going to make anything toxic in these glasses, but they do look pretty legitimate! Print out different labels to make each one unique with a potion name. If you are planning to have a party then these bottles are great to use as cocktail shakers or individual glasses.

Dry Ice Cocktail

Every haunted house needs a spooky drink to be served upon arrival and anything involving dry ice is perfect for a haunted theme. The fog the ice creates will have everyone buzzing about what is actually inside these scary cocktails. Little do they know these green dry ice cocktails are fruity and delicious! Place some olives inside the glasses to look like an eyeball is floating!
