Budget Friendly DIY Party Ideas

There are a number of ways you can get crafty this summer by adding a few DIY elements to your next party.

Instead of spending more money at the store, get creative and work with what you already have. You'll be surprised what you can pull together to in such little time!

I'm loving this idea for a temporary tiered serving plate. The folks over at Little Birdie Secrets used Scotch Restickable Strips to take a few plates and bowls they had in their home to create serving plates for their party. The best part is, the tape is sturdy enough to hold your food and comes right off when you are ready to wash your dishes!

A handmade card is always a sweet gesture to say thank you to party guests, but why not go a step further. Reuse those old strawberry containers and fill them with freshly baked cookies. Wrap them in a bandana with a handwritten note and your guests will be thrilled with how you thanked them!

If you are hosting a more formal dinner party and you will be printing menus, try this easy DIY menu craft from a day with lil mama stuart. Simply use cardstock or printer paper you already have at home and print out your menu. Use a little colorful washi tape to add a pop of creativity to a plain old print out. It's that easy!

Themed placemats can be difficult to find on a budget. I stumbled across this DIY idea from I Spy DIY. Take an old cloth or white/cream placemat and stamp it. This one happens to be stars for a patriotic theme. Next iron your fabric to lock in the ink. It's a quick and easy way to make a placemat on a budget.

I hope all of these easy ideas will help you save money and incorporate more DIY into your next party!
