Bag Of Gold St. Patrick's Day Treats

Gather up some gold from the end of that rainbow and put it in a nice little treat bag for someone special on St. Patrick's Day!

I love leaving special little treats out for my children on every holiday - they get so excited when they discover that a gift or goody has been left just for them on a special occasion. On St. Patrick's Day, it's the leprechaun who leaves a little gold behind for them with this cute St. Patrick's Day treat for kids.

I used some premade muslin bags to decorate a special treat holder for this kids on St. Patrick's Day. These bags are easy to stamp on, so you can dress them up for any holiday or occasion. After stamping a green shamrock and a good luck message, I filled each bag with gold-covered candies, and then tied the tops with rainbow ribbon, which is exactly how a little leprechaun would embellish, don't you think?

The kids will squeal with delight when they discover that the leprechaun has visited, and left them a little bag of gold in the form of St. Patrick's Day desserts!

To add even more fun to this St. Patrick's Day treat for the kids, consider turning this into a bit of a hunt! We like the idea of hiding the bags someplace and giving the kids clues on rainbow strips of paper to find the leprechaun gold.

These stamped muslin bags would also make darling party favors or little gifts for a hostess, teacher, neighbor or friend on St. Patrick's Day. Ahhh! The luck o' the Irish - make sure you spread it around!

I didn't have a shamrock stamp but my heart stamp worked just fine. I stamped the heart with green ink 3 times to create the leaves of the shamrock. A little good luck message at the bottom finished it off! See, easy!
