A Chocolate Thank You

A box of chocolates is always a great way to express your thanks to someone. And, you can embellish your little thank- you by creating a stamped and decorated canvas bag to slip the candy box in.

I purchased inexpensive, small white canvas bags from the craft store and then stamped a great big greeting of gratitude on the bag with a rubber stamp and permanent ink. For an extra personal touch, use fabric pen to decorate the bag with the recipient’s name.

Then I just slipped a little heart-shaped charm over the handle of the bag and tied it all up with a black and white grosgrain ribbon. It’s amazing how something as little as a charm can make all the difference! If you know your giftee to have a special interest or hobby, you may want to use a charm reflective of their personality. For example, a cat charm for an animal lover or a soccer ball for a sports fanatic would really add that extra something to your gift.

When you want to do more than just send a thank-you card, these little canvas bags are a sure bet. And, there are limitless ideas for what to tuck inside. Chocolates are a no-fail solution, but if you really want to give them a thank-you gift they will appreciate, cater the contents of the bag to the recipient.
