Sangria is Not Just for Sipping: See The Color We're Crushing on for Fall

With a new season comes a warm new color palette, which is a fun and refreshing change of pace from all the bright pastels and neons of spring and summer. Although warm sangria has always been a fall color staple, this warm hue is making major appearances this season in everything from fashion, beauty and home decor.

We've been loving the sangria color in lipstick and nail polish colors, throw pillows and even fresh cut flowers. You don't need to go all out with the color sangria to embrace the trend; with just a few pops of color here and there, you'll be ready to welcome fall. Take a look at some of the favorite ways we've seen the color sangria, and get inspired to add the fun color to your wardrobe or decor.

And if this gets you in the mood to sip on some actual sangria, make sure you check out our delicious recipe. Sangria is always in season, right?

  • Lipstick

Sangria really started its breakthrough with dark lipsticks, and I instantly fell in love! (If it’s Emma Watson approved it as to be perfection. Right?) I bought this one from Topshop a few months ago, and can’t wear it enough! Plus it lasts all night long making partying stress-free.

  • Candles

A very simple way to add any new color into your house is candles. I’m stocking up on these ones from Ikea and trying them out in every room in my house!

  • Coasters

Toss your old coasters! These crochet ones from Etsy will bring the fall into your home while also giving your guests a place to put their delicious cocktails!

  • Dress

You don’t have to get married with your favorite ladies all dressed in sangria, but with tis adorable pic, and the new fall wedding trend, it might just be one of the best ideas out! I‘m trading in my LBD for a sangria one that I can rock with my favorite blazer and statement necklace for my next night out with the girls!

  • Nail Polish

Adding some dark colors to my nails always gets me in the sweaters and pumpkin spice mood. This polish from Forever 21 might just be the first of many dark mani’s for me this fall!

  • Candle Holders

I have more votive candles in my apartment than I am willing to admit. So adding these candle holders in this season’s hot color is the perfect way for me to get rid of what I already have while also staying on top of the trend. I’m a huge fan of these from Etsy, though the crafter in me is thinking this could be a fun DIY for this weekend!

  • Throw Pillows

I love this upgraded couch, with only one sangria pillow to add some fun color, but I’m totally obsessed with the whimsical polka dots on these throw pillows on Ebay. They bring in some of my own personality into my home, and make it look cozy for all my guests!

  • Dinnerware

These plates from Bed Bath and Beyond are a great way to add a pop of this hip color without taking it on full force.

  • Fresh Flowers

Add some seasonal pops of color quickly with a floral arrangement. Check out this Plum Crazy arrangement from 1-800-Flowers, which includes warm orange roses and purply sangria daisy poms for a gorgeous autumn addition to your tablescape or home.
  • Shirt

I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, peplum tops look great on everyone! And this one from Maykool will turn you from party host into fashionista (on a secret budget!). The trendy top is perfect for hosting fall parties or attending housewarmings.

  • Wine Bottle Cork

You can celebrate with this trendy color without being the host of your own bash. Pick up a few of these wine corks from Peir 1 and pass the color along to your friends too!
