Here is a list of 4 Celebrities who went Platinum the week of September 1st:

Jennifer Aniston – The former “Friends” star will be returning to NBC’s Thursday night line-up as a guest star on “30 Rock.”  Aniston’s role is being kept under wraps.  “30 Rock” stars Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin. Aniston will most likely appear in the first or second episode of the season.  We don’t think John Mayer will be making a cameo in this episode.

Britney Spears – MTV has confirmed reports that Britney Spears will open the VMAs for the second year in a row.  Unlike last year, Spears will not be singing, but rather will do something “fun and unexpected” according to several sources.  Spears has recently made star turns on CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother.”  We will see if this is a hit me baby one more time…

Natalie Portman – The “Star Wars” and “Garden State” star received a humanity award in Venice this past weekend.  The Venice Film Festival presented Portman with the first ever “Movie for Humanity Award” for her work with social and environmental programs.  The $50,000 prize Portman received she donated to the Jane Goodall Institute in Tanzania, whose Racara Girl’s Scholarship Program is a favorite of the star’s.  We hope they go bananas over this donation…

90210 – The new show on the CW network had nearly 5 million viewers, an all-time record high for the network for a scripted show.  The re-launch of the 90’s classic was a huge a success.  The new cast includes: Adam Gregory, Lori Loughlin, Shenae Grimes, Rob Estes and Tristan Wilds.  Alums from the original cast who appear in the new show include Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty.  Finally a show that everyone can relate to…

Two Thursdays ago, The Apple Lounge opened its doors in West Hollywood, California. The Apple Lounge is the latest nightclub entry to the LA Hotspot Scene.

GUEST LIST
The guest list included Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Laura Prepon, Lindsay Lohan, DJ Samantha Ronson, Christina Milian, Tila Tequila, Taye Diggs, Karina Smirnoff and Perez Hilton.

THE SCENE
The party was held at the brand new Apple Lounge in West Hollywood, California. The new nightclub was spectacular with an apple shaped disco ball. The bathroom had a mural of paparazzi with blinking lights. The space was dimly lit with DJ Samantha Ronson spinning in the background to compliment the scene. The whole place was buzzing with A-list celebrities and partygoers.

THE DRESS
Most of the guests were very dressed up for this opening. Nicky Hilton wore a lovely striped blue, grey, black, turquoise strapless dress. Tila Tequila wore a very revealing checkered cocktail dress. Paris Hilton donned a shiny black dress that didn’t leave much to the imagination. Lindsay Lohan was dressed casual in denim shorts and a green top.

THE CLUB
Allison Melnick, the owner of The Apple Lounge, hopes the club can bring a sense of New York AKA The Big Apple to Los Angeles. Nicky Hilton helped design the uniforms for the staff of the nightclub. The lounge will offer bottle service with seasonal ingredients such as fresh mint and fresh squeezed fruit juices. Soon Apple Restaurant will open up as well with an award winning chef and great late night cuisine to feed partygoers all night long.

Anna Faris – Her new comedy “The House Bunny” made over 15 million dollars this past weekend. In the film Faris plays a former Playboy Bunny that helps a group of sorority girls save their house. The film also stars Colin Hanks, Emma Stone, Kat Dennings, Hugh Hefner, Katharine McPhee and Rumer Willis. We are going to hop to see this film.

Kara DioGuardi – The Grammy-nominated pop composer has been added as a fourth judge on Fox’s "American Idol." She will join Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul as a judge. DioGuardi has written songs for Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. American Idol returns to the airwaves in January of 2009. Kara should be singing a good tune right now…

Joe Biden – The United States Senator was just named to be Barack Obama’s Vice Presidential Running mate. Biden has been a Senator for Delaware since 1973. Biden actually ran for President, but lost in the Primary. Obama let his supporters know of his choice with a late night text message this past weekend.

Michael Phelps – The US Swimmer capped off the Olympics with a record breaking 8 gold medals. He also established 7 world records in the pool. Phelps bested Mark Spitz who had previously won 7 gold medals at the 1972 Olympics. In Beijing, China, Phelps brought his grand total of medals up to 14 Gold and 2 bronze. This is his first Platinum medal…

Pineapple Express – The new Judd Apatow movie grossed over 40 million dollars at the box office this past weekend, including over 12 million dollars on Wednesday, its first day open. The film stars Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Gary Cole, Rosie Perez and Amber Heard. Rogen and Franco play two friends who have to go on the run after witnessing a cop commit a murder. It doesn’t look like this movie will go up in smoke anytime soon…

Brett Favre – The legendary quarterback was traded this past week from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets. Favre spent 16 seasons with the Packers, which included 9 pro bowls, 3 NFL MVP awards and one Super Bowl Championship. Favre holds the NFL records for most career passing touchdowns, passing yards, completions, attempts and most consecutive starts by a quarterback. We wonder if Green Bay is going to want this quarter-BACK….

Clay Aiken – The former runner-up on “American Idol” became a dad last week. His son, Parker Foster Aiken was born in North Carolina on Friday morning. Jaymes Foster is the mother of the child and Aiken’s friend and record producer. Aiken lost to Ruben Studdard on the second season of “American Idol.” Most recently, Aiken could be seen in “Monty Python’s Spamalot” on Broadway. This should be something that Aiken can sing about…

Britney Spears – The singer will be appearing in an advertisement for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). She shot the spot last week with host Russell Brand. In the commercial, Spears gives Brand advice on hosting. Spears is up for two VMAs this year. She performed at last year’s show. It is also rumored she might perform at this year’s awards show. This past Thursday night, Electronic Arts (EA) Sports hosted a celebration for the 20th anniversary of the NFL videogame Madden. The party was held at STK and its upstairs nightclub Coco De Ville in West Hollywood, California.

THE SCENE
The party was held at STK/Coco De Ville in West Hollywood, California. The chic and trendy steakhouse and nightclub was decked out with XBOX 360s and flat screens for gamers to test out the new game. The space was dimly lit with a DJ spinning in the background to compliment the intense game play by all the guests. The whole place had a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere ideal for video gaming.

THE DRESS
Most of the guests were dressed very causal for this fun event. Nicole Scherzinger wore a shiny black skirt with a white tank top that did not leave much to the imagination. Cheryl Burke wore a lovely red dress. Jamie-Lynn Sigler wore a beautiful flowing orange top over her black top-short combo. Lauren Conrad wore jeans and a fun loose fitting blue shirt.

THE GAME
Madden, now in its 20th year, is the considered to be one of the greatest sports video games of all time. This edition’s cover features the new quarterback of the New York Jets, Brett Favre. With better graphics and enhanced features, this year’s game seeks to be the Super Bowl of football games. Madden 09 will be available in stores on August 12th 2008.

Joss Stone – The British singer has landed a role in Showtime and BBC’s “The Tudors.” Stone is set to play Henry VIII’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. “The Tudors” is beginning its 3rd season. Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays Henry VIII. Anne of Cleves is suppose to be plain looking, which will mean the beautiful songstress will have to undergo a ton of make-up to look the part.
