Vanity Fair’s Tribeca Film Festival Kick-Off Party was held last Tuesday.

The Tribeca Film Festival, now in its 7th year, held this opening night gala in New York City at the State Supreme Court House.

GUEST LIST

The guest list included Festival co-founder Robert DeNiro, Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal, David Bowie, Iman, Edie Falco, Martha Stewart, Brett Ratner, Regis Philbin, James Gandolfini and Amy Poehler to name a few.

Some celebs had the honor of going "Platinum" this week. Were any of these guests included?

THE SCENE

This elegant affair was held at the New York State Supreme Court House, which usually doesn’t hold such events. The only time you would normally see celebrities here is if they are on jury duty.

Still, the scene was very upscale with a touch of Hollywood casual. The party held court all night long.

THE DRESS

Most of the male guests were in suits and ties and the women wore dazzling spring dresses.

Supremodel Iman delighted the crowd with a beautiful red flower dress – she still looks stunning at 52.

Tennis legend John McEnroe wore a checkered Grey Suit that had us saying “YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!” A

ll the stars looked great on this spring night in New York.

DANCING

There wasn’t much dancing, but we think the festival was saving it for Thursday night’s outdoor “Thriller” Zombie Dance in the Lower Manhattans Financial Center.

Snapple Antioxidant Water and Yahoo sponsored a 25th Anniversary outdoors screening of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” hosted by Director John Landis. A

fter the screening the video’s choreographer Vincent Paterson taught the audience the dance and started a zombie disco.

THE FESTIVAL

Now in its 7th year, the festival was started by Robert DeNiro and Jane Rosenthal to help revitalize lower Manhattan after September 11th. This year the festival premieres “Speed Racer” starring Emile Hirsch and Christina Ricci and Tina Fey’s “Baby Mama,” which co-stars Fey and Amy Poehler. The festival runs through May 4th.
