Mariah Carey Sings to Time's 100 Most Influential People

This past Thursday some of the biggest stars and most influential people gathered for Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World Party.


The event celebrated Time Magazine’s announcement of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. The party was held in New York City at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Allen Room.


GUEST LIST


The guest list included newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Chris Rock, John McCain, Lance Armstrong, Martha Stewart, Judd Apatow, Robert Downey Jr., Marc Ecko, Herbie Hancock and Tyler Perry. See which of these stars went Platinum this week.

THE SCENE

This black tie event was held at the Jazz in Lincoln Center in the Allen Room, which is use to holding these types of upscale events.

The star-studded crowd was filled with CEOs, politicians and just about every other important person you could think of.

After the initial cocktail hour, all the guests were seated and watched performances and speeches from many of the attendees.

THE DRESS


All of the male guests were in formal black tie.

Robert Downey Jr. was dressed to nines with a white a bow-tie.

Mariah Carey shone bright in a silver sequined dress which was nicely compliment by Nick Cannon on her arm.

PERFORMANCES


Mariah Carey performed a few songs for the party off of her new album.

John McCain, Lance Armstrong, Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers were among the speakers for the evening. T

he audience enjoyed performances almost as much as they enjoyed each other’s company as it is rare for so many influential people to be sharing a stage and a room together.

THE LIST

This is the fifth year that Time Magazine has done a “World’s Most Influential People” list. The list is comprised of leaders, thinkers, heroes, artists, scientists and more. The issue is available on news stands now.
