Celebrity Birthday Cake Bakery

Sweet Lady Jane's has snagged the sweet tooth of stars like Jennifer Lopez, "Baby Face", and Bruce Springsteen, to name a few! I stumbled upon this wedding and birthday cake shop in my former life as a personal assistant to a TV Exec. Yep, I've done it all. What Hollywood loves about this boutique bakery is that the cakes are both stunning and scrumptious.

I'm a fan of their cupcakes (click on the link and scroll down the page to see a picture), but if you can't stop by their Melrose Ave. store to enjoy them, here's an easy homemade version. To achieve the smooth look of the icing, color canned vanilla frosting to your desired shade and then warm it up for a couple of seconds in the microwave. Spoon icing on cupcakes and smooth with the back of the spoon. Dress them up with pre-made, sugar candy shaped like butterflies, flowers and seasonal confections that you can order online at Sugar Craft.
