The American Mall Slumber Party

"The American Mall," MTV's new movie from the executive producers of High School Musical, is an awesome theme for a slumber party.

"The American Mall" premieres exclusively on MTV on Monday, August 11th at 9PM / 8C.

Here's the plot: cute teens rock out in a mall as they shop for cool stuff and realize that the mall is "a place where love and dreams are not for sale."

The American Mall Slumber Party Ideas:

• Move all the furniture out of the TV room to make space for sleeping bags.

• Make microwave popcorn and then put it in a small shopping bag for each guest. Create a fun label or buy themeatic stickers and slap one on the side of the bag to brand your party.

• Prop out the party with inflatable instruments, microphones, and fun costume items like boas and tinsel wigs.

• Pick up slumber party plates, napkins and supplies.

• Consider hooking your TV up to a DVD projector and watch a super-size version of the movie on a white wall or sheet hanging from a long curtain rod.

• Hit your local mall and ask for make-up samples and freebies to give guests as party favors. If you only get a few, put them in a grab bag!
